Boulder, Colorado
Cold and Sunny
Another fabulous Christmas at my sister's place in Boulder. My visit started with a snow storm but that was expected as I am known to bring crazy weather to Boulder when I visit. And because its been cold, the snow held up (still hanging today the day after Xmas) so we had a white Christmas. Also, this is the first Christmas in 16 years where there were no toys as presents! The boys are growing up. Jackson who is 11 (soon to be 12 in a week or so) is almost my height (5ft8)! Billy has stopped growing at 16 and is 6ft5 and is an fantastic shape as he plays varsity basketball.
Here are some highlights from Xmas
On the 22nd of December it started to snow and continued for 2 days to the delight of Jackson and Zuma
And Santa's reindeer decided to stop by to see what was going on before embarking on a trip around the world to deliver presents.
On the 23rd, I made a ribeye steak dinner for the kids and Billy's friend Andrew. Jackson made his famous mushrooms. I was too busy cooking that I forgot to take photos! But we had a blast, the boys loved the steaks and we played board games afterwards. The next morning Jackson made me his famous breakfast fried rice for X'mas eve.
All was quiet during X'mas eve but the house was ready for Santa.
X'mas Morning. Santa filled our stockings and left us some fabulous gifts.
Zuma got gifts also but we had to move it as he was a bit too anxious to open them. He patiently waited while keeping an eye on his gifts.
Our tradition is to open the stockings first and then 2 presents. We then have breakfast and open the rest of the presents.

One of Jackson's fav gifts. A chocolate milk maker.
X'mas Breakfast: Sausage, eggs, and Sara Lee coffee cake
The kids got alot of clothes. Some very interesting...
But I believe they liked the Ed Hardy hoodies I got them.
But the best gifts were saved for last. This one actually made Billy smile ....an iPAD!!!
And an iTouch for Jackson!
After some tidying up, and watching basketball on TV it was time for everyone to prepare the X'mas supper.
Billy was in charge of scalloped potatoes.
Jackson was in charge of mushrooms. He got cooking goggles for Xmas. It protects his eyes when chopping onions, chilies, etc.
Bill made his famouse roasted brussel sprouts.
I made a filet mignon roast with Madeira Sauce. Kim was in charge of table setting, biscuits and the horseradish sauce.

Jackson and I made S'mores Pie and followed a recipe which was one of America's top 10 pie recipes. It took 3 days to make and well, it exploded in the oven! But everyone agreed it tasted very good...
Kim's X'mas table setting. Isn't it beautiful!
Fabulous X'mas! I hope all you had a wonderful X'mas and Holiday. May peace be with you all.
