Somewhere in the Sky over America
Cool in the plane but it was quite hot and humid in NYC
So this is a first for me. Posting from the plane on my iphone cuz my work computer is kaput. Anyhow, I have a 5 hr flight home from NYC to LA so decided to try something new and post a blog from the iphone. It's not that easy so this is another short post. I was in HOT and HUMID NYC for work this week. But as I said in my last post, spent a long weekend in NYC with my sister for my b-day. My sister treated me to two nights at the Ritz Carlton Battery Park which was very nice. Our room had a view of the Statue of Liberty. It also gave me an opportunity to explore Battery Park. When I left New York for California in 2000, Battery Park was just beginning to get developed. And I must say, they did a fabulous job. It's quite lovely. Still short on restaurants but Tribeca is very close. The first morning there, I got up early and discovered a bit of paradise in Manhattan. Below are some photos. Hard to believe this is Battery Park/Financial District. It's quite lovely, really. The gardens were immaculate and the flowers gorgeous. And it was very quiet. I could really live here if I ever move back to my beloved city - New York.
