Malibu, CA
Windy but Sunny
What I love most about NYC --- Family and Friends. My BFFs of over 20 years live in NYC and my dear Uncle lives nearby in NJ. Given that my uncle and his wife, Ruby will be moving to Colombia this summer, I came to NYC early so I could have brunch with them. And coincidentally, Nicky planned a birthday celebration for Bob and Rick at Peter Luger's, I was able to celebrate with them.
Ruby, me and Uncle Jeffrey @ Roc's in Tribeca. We had a lovely lunch and I got to know Ruby better. I am so looking forward to visiting them in Colombia.
Susan and I met during IBM sales training in 1985, I believe. We were roommates. We've been best friends since then. Susan and I went to Chola for some good Indian grub. (photo is not that great as my iphone does not have flash). The food was delish!
For the life of me this photo won't rotate. Anyhow, at Chola, our waiter was Nepalese and he spoke fluent Japanese as he worked in Shinagawa and also spoke fluent German as he spent time there too.
And here's a mugshot of Susan, me, her husband Ray and a new addition to their family Tenzing. Again, could not rotate the photo so you'll have to look at it sideways.
My first BFF from NYC Priscilla now lives in Florida and although we tried to get together it didnt work out. But Priscilla introduced me to Nicky in the late 80s where we had a share at Nicky's house in the Hamptons for the hot summer weekends. @Hamptons, I also met Bob and Rick. All three are very special to me. Rick is one of the most courageous people I know. He is a cancer survivor and fought it and won with incredible strength and dignity. And Bob, one of the most caring people I know, was by his side the whole time. I'm so happy I was able to celebrate their birthday's with Nicky at Peter Lugers.
Rick and Bob
Bob with the shrimp cocktail appetizer and Nicky with the bacon appetizer. Yes, Peter Luger has bacon as an appetizer and it is GOOD!

The famous steaks
The dessert we shared with schlag.
I always think about moving back to New York after catching up with my friends as I miss them very much. Hmmm. should I do it?
