My beloved dog and companion for over 16 years Skipper passed away on Monday, November 29. It's too soon for me to write about his life as my emotions are still raw so instead I'm reposting a blog Skipper wrote on his travels back to the US from Japan. Enjoy! He was a very good companion not only for me but for Yuki-chan.

Dear Janet, I am not sure if you remember me, Angela from Homat Viscount in Tokyo, I have a little malti-poo called Chloe. We moved in about a year before you and your beloved Westies moved to the US. I am so sorry to hear about Skipper, I just read your blog posting (I haven't checked in for some months). He was such a beautiful Westie and I know how hard it is to lose such a precious companion. We had a Westie for 15 years and it is such a gaping hole when they leave us. How is Yuki-chan coping? Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Dear Angela, of course I remember you and Chloe! I'm sorry it took me long to reply as have been under the weather and busy, so have not been updating my blog. Thank you so much for the kind words. I still think about Skipper a lot but Yuki is taking care of me and I of her. She seems to be doing well and is getting spoiled this Xmas by her Aunt Amy and Michael while I am with my sister and family in Boulder. Keep in touch and Merry X'mas! Janet
