Roppongi Hills, Tokyo
Cool, Cloudy Fall Weather
After I shopped for jewelry and spent so much money, I figure why stop now and took my cousin to a fab lunch at L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon in Roppongi Hills. I was not sure we could get in but luckily there were two seats available at the counter so we took it and I treated her to her first authentic French lunch. We decided to have the 3 course lunch special and had it with a very good glass of Montrachet.
The elegant place setting
Our first course was a "wonton" filled with goat cheese and spinach
The first course was grilled scallops in an asparagus and cream sauce.
I had a perfectly cooked chicken paillard with the freshest vegetables as the main course.
Freshly baked bread came with our meal.
And finally our dessert: Fig sorbet with mascarpone cheese and vanilla ice cream.
We loved our meal and I told myself I need to go there more often as it is only about a 15 minute walk from my apartment. I'll definitely have to go back before returning to LA as LA does not have a Joel Robuchon!
